Editing Trading Posts?

I've been trying to find out if its possible to edit the trading posts that are created once a trade route is finished?

I've tried myself but to no avail, did any of you guys find some success? I'm trying to create a unique building that replaces the trading post.
 
Trading Posts are not a building, and as fas as I can see also not some other object that could be replaced, so that's probably not possible.

You can however add yields on a per-Civ basis, see Civilizations.xml -> TRAIT_GOLD_FROM_DOMESTIC_TRADING_POSTS

That's a shame, So if I wanted to change the amount of gold gained from a domestic trade route I would do something like this?

<ModifierId>TRAIT_GOLD_FROM_DOMESTIC_TRADING_POSTS</ModifierId>
<Name>Amount</Name>
<Value>2</Value>

alternatively you could change the tradeyields of the city center or the districts
i think it's in districts.xml but not sure
I just know that I added +1 to every option (meaning that every traderoute to everyone now is really useful for everyone, including the recepient)

But does that effect the district trade yield of every civ? I'm wondering if I need to put in a special command or something
 
it affects the trade of every city you can define it by three production modifiers per two of these are 0 by default
usually it is foreigntradepartner gets x when you send a trader and
foreigntradingpartner gets x when he sends a trader
i haven't seen the trader range yet, but in my first game the trading range consequently increased, probably due to trading posts (or i don't understand why I could trade across the world from colonial cities to my capitol)

obviously all changes also affect the ai
i just changed it so that sender and recepient will always receive effect
sending trader has an advantage

is in districts and imho selfexplanatory
I was annoyed by incountry trading routes being superior to all other options

by fast do you mean how fast the route is finished/road built and post established or when you are able to chose a new route?
