Again this kind of thing happens..
Today, I had armies north and west and south of Morocco, and then a small submarine fleet in Hippo Regius city which is to the east of Morocco and cut off trade routes for marrakech. It was right there to the path, I gained 1k gold from plundering his trade ships.
That isn't the point but, On the turn I dow'd Morocco.. I made sure to snatch Milan away from them, they was 257 points into allied but I had like over 10k gold doing nothing, so i used that gold to snatch Milan.
Then dow'd Morocco, and Plundered every single pearl resource it had with my submarines.
Combination of dow+ Lux plunder+City State steal + Morocco going Order with me being Autocratic = -69 unhappy for Morocco.
They died with a whimper, didn't even stand a chance at all. And my soldiers is now sieging Marrakech from north,west,south and east.
Not kidding, i occasionally flatten entire civs within first five turns just because I dow'd them. They got rolled from basically just WW2 infantry, and few panzers plus submarines from me.
They mounted two unsuccessful counteroffensives despite the -40% reduction.
I find myself scratching my head on how they get crushed so easily.. I think they was super dependent on luxury trade that my tactics just basically make several civs that have their entire economy and happiness balanced on eggshells fail.
Even when Morocco has been HOSTILE towards me for most of the time, they failed to be prepared.
And.. as I close onto Marrakech, I see that I'm still going to be seen as Minor Warmongering even when I have three capitals under my control now <.< Mine, Shaka, and Venice. Difficulty is King.
