Egyptian warrior avoid victori! help!

Once I overcome 7 Civ, one warrior established in the only pinpoint island of Egyptians now , where I can not disembark avoid obtain absolute victory. I have nukes and all army because is 2635 AD and plenty all things more all land ocuppied with exception this only one person city-island.
I try to evercome him investing around in the next islands a lot of gold in Cathedral, Universities, Banks, etc none oportunity to invest in culture remain however nothing happen. Island around now are 10 or 20 in size.
The heroe is only 1 in size.
Which solution run here? thanks Angel
PD Culture level is very high above 50000 in capitl city.

yeah....they are there for exactly that reason.

build a couple marines and storm them...
marines can land and fight in the same turn.

Unfortunately didnt work. I used marines as your suggestion, before had used paratroppers, horses, mech infantery, modern armor, Helo with paratroppers,etc I am trying dont nuke them because must to be a solution more NORMAL for this small capital.
Really if somebody could help will be an advance in my newbie role. Thanks very much Angel
PD AI said "only ground units can attack settlement" maybe means an impossible mission for this tiny island.

Marines are usually what most everyone here has used for those instances. You load them into a transport then attack from the transport and take over the city. They're the only amphibious unit.

If for some reason you modded the game or changed this aspect of marines, a nuke is your best bet.

Marines will work, they can attack right from the transport. However, you need to wake them one at a time and attack one at a time. You can't try to "unload" the transport into the city - then it thinks you're attacking with the transport and you'd get that message.

Thanks Jason, it was my mistake, once I waked them before disembark the takeover was complete over egyptian-warrior. I will never forget wake out the marines; cost me a lot of time and gold.
