I am looking for a good adventure game, and happened to stumble upon the new Sherlock Holmes series. There are two games, which interest me, the one is centered on Jack the Ripper, the other on Cthulhu.

Anyone have played these? And if yes, which of the two do you recommend the most?

I got an RPG on XBLA about Cthulhu. It's called Cthulhu Saves the World. That's relevant, right?

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is the Cthulhu one. I haven't played enough of it to comment on the story. It was doing a decent job of creating an original Holmes mystery though, and I haven't read any Lovecraft to comment on the Cthulhu element. Gamewise, it's alright. It suffers from the usual point-and-click adventure problems, like having to comb the entire area for items, and refusing to let you solve a puzzle you've worked out unless you started from one specific point.

So enjoyable enough, and I've been thinking about giving it another try and being more forgiving. Steam has it for £15, I probably wouldn't buy it for more than a tenner.
