Elephants in the Snow

I captured this town, and they had elephants (ivory) on the tundra.

The question came up, I thought that there was limitations on where resources popped up. I guess that ivory could be obtained from Walrus's. But I have never seen a War Walrus (maybe the Rus would use it).

Seriously, I am now considering changing my Ivory resource to a piano.

Yeah, I thought of mamoths as well, or maybe a sudden shift in the earth's magnetic field or too much Volcanic activity (global cooling).

Actually, they were on the tundra, my workers planted the trees.

I swear my workers seeded the area, but here is a pic from an early game save. The elephants were on the tundra forest.
