How do you enable unit abilities without altering some of the abilities that are already there. Example, I wanted to make my carrier treat all terrain as roads but I lose the transport aircraft and radar. How do I keep the old abilities and add new abilities.

Another question is how do you enable lethal sea bombardment. I can enable lethal land bombardment but I can't scroll down any further. Does anybody else have that problem?

Hold down the CONTROL key to selectively add/delete. Kind of a strange way to design a user interfance, imho. I guess it's like Mi*****ft Windows Exploder except the Exploder uses the SHIFT key.

I don't have a problem with scrolling.

Would all problems with Civ 3 be that easy to solve!

Actually explorer uses the CTRL as well. For windows apps following the standard keyboard controls, CTRL has always been used for a non-inclusive selection. Once you do this in one window's app or on a webpage once it is quite intuitive.

The SHIFT key is used for inclusive selections. Like I said these are standard keyboard interfaceses on the windows PC's.

What I meant was that adding a single unit ability without deleting anything might be done without any kind of shift key, and deleting might be done with the delete key. Just my way of looking at things. I think most people don't want to delete everything else when they are trying to add an ability. But the good thing is that there is a way to do it.

Yes, I grudgingly get used to these conventions, but "intuitive" is in the eye of the beholder.
