Ending Turn and other frustrations

I have been playing with these bugs for awhile, and then it occurred to me that maybe someone knows how to make it work right?

I'm playing on a Mac both a laptop and an iMac. I'm pretty sure I also have these issues in Bootcamp.

1. How many times should I have to hit the end turn button before it actually ends the turn? Sometimes I have to click it 7 or 8 times. And new pop ups interfere that I can't get rid of.

2. Sometimes I select a build for a city, but that menu won't go away... as if I haven't made my selection yet.

3. When it automatically selects a unit for me to move, but I want to select my own unit, sometimes it won't work. I'll have a guy garrisoned in a city, barbarian approaching, and I try to select the guy in the city... but it just keeps going back to the auto selected unit. VERY FRUSTRATING.

There are lots of little bugs like this with buttons and selecting stuff that seem silly for a game that is this expensive and this far into revisions. Push a button, stuff happens.

Simple.

It seems hard to select items sometimes... much harder than it should be.

This might be due to a worker stopping work as barbarians are near after you ended a turn. In that case you are only allowed to move said worker as you already ended the turn.
Moreover however there might be a problem, if you have "automatically end turns" enabled as that will basically cause you to never be able to use garrisoned units when you have no other units to move, have them sleeping/fortified or moved all other units first. Turn that off^^

to 1. - new popups interfere? Sounds to me like it did progress to a new turn, otherwise there would not be new popups. However your PC... excuse me, Mac, could be very slow for this game and you probably can not hit next turn if not all the notifications have "arrived" yet.
Anyway - there are popups which you can not ignore. You must give order to all units/cities, select promotions and policies (unless saving them in advanced game options was chosen) before you can end the turn (the button will actually not be 'end the turn' but for e.g. 'move a unit'.

2. Never experienced that. Maybe due to a slowish PC... err Mac. Maybe a bug in the Mac version of the game.
