What I'd like to see , and this is a request mind you, is a mod of the ages.
Something that expands the tech tree nearly four fold, making it so that while your units and culture are high (the required for next lvl is higher too) the units come out in ages, and you will have enough time in each age to actually war with varried uses of these units, rather than just having to buy them or ignore them during the middle ages.
Something like how (though it was kind of broken) Stone age for IV worked out at start.
