Error When Trying to Uninstall Civ IV

I was trying to uninstall Civ IV from my new computer that has Windows 7, only that i get an error about corrupt install-shield files. I deleted the file that Firaxis' website says to delete but I still am having the problem. I went to the thread that talks about the windows 7 civ 4 experience and I tried to uninstall the game by deleting the program files except now I can't get rid of or re-name 2 files, the Firaxis games file or the civ 4 file after that. So now I can't uninstall the game and I am afraid of trying to install BtS because of what that may do. Please someone help!!

actually i figured out the problem and it was so simple i feel stupid. I just opened the disc file and ran setup and it uninstalled itself
