Hi. Signed up so I could post here with a problem since it seemed the best place to try to get an answer.
Having a major problem with trying to do a Play by Email game with my Dad when trying to play the Beyond the Sword version of the game. From what I can see, the game is listed as "Final Build" in-program.
For some reason, we can't seem to get the game to advance beyond the first turn. After one of us try to start up a game and then email the game file, we can maybe take one turn, after which we encounter one of a variety of problems. In our most recent attempt, attempts to load my turn resulted in either me being given control of my dads team instead of my own, or (and this is a much more common problem) had a message at the bottom of the screen talking about how it's waiting for so-and-so to finish their turn, making it impossible to continue.
Even stranger is that before we encountered this problem, we played one play be email game in BtS just fine all the way through without encountering this problem once. Additionally, we're currently playing a Play by Email game in Warlords, and haven't encountered any similar problems (yet).
As a secondary problem, one that I don't know if it was there before or a more recent thing, when I tried starting a couple games in random world size, for some reason the game didn't add AI civilizations to help fill out the map. No idea what the problem is there, either.
