errors with warlords

[not the nuke!]

i haven't played civ IV for quite a while, but a group of us started meeting online to play europa universalis III once a week. the game never ends so we've been thinking of going back to civ once in a while.

anyway, i thought i'd get a refresher today and i find that i can't get warlords to run anymore. i get a gfc error and then an error loading shader library.

i guess what i'd like to do is uninstall warlords and then reinstall it, but i can't find any way to uninstall civ four or warlords. they don't appear on my list of programs when i go to my control panel options and i don't have an uninstall option when i load the disk or find it in my list of programs through the startup either.
