I am playing Rise of Rome on Regent and am about 40 turns from the mandatory retirement date. I have seen others post their saved games and get comments from "experts" as to their shortcoming and strong suits. I would love to have anyone do such an evaluation on my game. I am 20 hours into it and lag about 1000 points behind the Persians. I am generating a lot more culture than they are, and my legions are pretty strong. I am still making a lot of mistakes, but perhaps this time (the third!) I can beat this scenario. Any opinions or advice? Thanks in advance for the time this takes, as it is well appreciated and anticipated.

I should add that I am moving into Celt territory to remove them, as well as the Goth. I haven't bothered with Macedon, and they have only a couple of cities remaining. Does anyone know if you get extra points for exterminating a civilization? If I capture a city with a GW, do I start getting culture from it, or just prevent the original civ from getting culture from it?

I think you actually do get a lot of points from exterminating a civ, and even if not, the points for military victories will come in handy. I can't look at the save directly right now, though.

btw, are you the same AZsportsfan who is so famous on the TDCB boards?

you don't get culture from great wonders, but in the epic game it can become a tourist attraction.

Since I am not sure what the TDCB board is, I doubt it. I post under this name at some sports boards, but this is the only "game" board where I use this name.
