Fable (PC version)

Has anywone heard of Fable (PC version)? The concept sounds good to me, but how is the game?

I never played Fable, so I can't help you with that. There should be a demo or at least a gameplay movie.

Fable is great, a little too easy once you get the hang of it. I never cheated but i felt like i did. Also the second time i played i went pure evil (as aposed to good the first time) i got so strong killing guards before the first mission (i got the most powerfull box in the game before i killed the wasp) and slaughted oakvale and kept killing all the guards. if you kill 1000 then they become white belveirns. also if you spell **** instead of hits on the stones you get attacked by white belverins

How did you manage to kill that many guards? I don't remember exactly, but wasn't your weapon taken from you when entering the village? I also sometimes hit a guard, but then all hell would brake loose and I'd hurry out of the village, suffering hits while I went... They could fire at you with impunity, or am I mistaken? Maybe another game or something?

Got it last week, is pretty fun. Seems to easy, but I figured that was due to it's console origins (I found Halo etc on the PC was pretty easy too).

My flatmate played a game as an evil character, he slaughtered merchants and got a good start in life. My character struggled his way to becoming the hero he is now, but I like beeing cheered at.

In the big city yes, in all the other citys you can. But in Oakvale (and some others) it is against the law to draw your weapon but they dont automaticly take it from you. so if you bring it out they attempt to arrest you. But when your goal is to murder the guards its not a problem

I played it a few weeks ago, it was decent enough. Although it was a little simple and short. Give me Neverwinter or Morrowind over it any time. I will probably play the sequel when it comes out. The main reason I play RPGs is the storyline, and fable had a pretty decent one. I definatly think that it would suck just to play the original witout the Lost Chapters. I may have to give it another run though in a couple of weeks. Although this time I'll have to try it Dark side.
