Fatal Error?

Got the game as a Christmas present. Very well done and addicting as ever. But those cut-scenes are creating a technical problem for my computer. Basically the sound and video will flicker pretty annoyingly, if im pretty deep into a game and theres a lot of stuff going on when a cut-scene appears it will actually shut-down the game and computer will ask to be restarted due to a fatal error that didn't want to harm the computer. Any ideas?

There is an .ini file in the main civ directory
civivcfg

open it with note pad and find the movie line and switch it to

nomovies=1

change your color on your monitor to 16bit instead of 32

run in 1024x768 rez
