I realized that there was a favorite album thread out there, but not one for favorite songs. Since some of my favorite songs do not appear on my favorite albums, and the ones that do are not necessarily in the same order of preference, I thought this topic deserved a thread of its own. There are some CDs that create a great overall effect without any songs that are spectacular on their own, and some mediocre CDs that contain particularly great songs. My list is in decreasing order of preference (higher is better)

Voodoo Child -- Jimmi Hendrix
The Knife -- Genesis
Wish You Were Here -- Pink Floyd
Toxicity -- System of a Down
Have a Cigar -- Pink Floyd
Billion Dollar Babies -- Alice Cooper
Forest -- System of a Down
School's Out -- Alice Cooper
Vulture Culture -- The Alan Parsons Project
Supper's Ready -- Genesis
Spiders -- System of a Down
Gimme -- Alice Cooper
Tornado of Souls -- Megadeth
Poison -- Alice Cooper
Stairway to Heaven -- Led Zeppelin (would be higher on the list, but I've heard it so many times I've gotten a bit tired of it)
Fake Healer -- Metal Church
18 -- Alice Cooper
Aerials -- System of a Down

Obviously, you can all tell why I have the CD Toxicity, even if it has some tracks on it that annoy me.... Genesis is not featured heavily in this list, as I usually decide to listen to them because I feel like hearing the group, rather than a specific song. The Alan Parsons Project has put out some good stuff that isn't on this list, but I haven't heard it for a while, so I probably don't remember how good it is. A few songs that I won't try to fit in my list of ordered songs are Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf, Ride Across the River by Dire Straits, and Hey You by Pink Floyd. I'm just not sure where to fit them in.

Go ahead and list your own favorite songs.
