my favorite is a dipplomatic victory .
I conquerd most of faction untill I can elect Myself Suprem Leader

Good question!

As I mostly play with the Gaians I usually strive for the transcendance-victory. But as it is with monopoly - I Often try to achieve an economic balance that works for everybody, so I like diplomatic too. Especially in CivIII. But if the other Civs start to make trouble I can be fully content with a conquest-victory too.

I haven't tried the economic at all. I think I'll be trying that one some time soon.

I like transedense victory, I like the University and they aren't really people that like things blown up. I don't like diplomatic victory because it seems a bit wierd and easy

I prefer either economic or conquest. Like #1 person said, diplomatic victory seems kind of easy. I get the satisfaction of having accomplished something, but I thought the cinematic for the transcendence victory was kind of milquetoast...not nearly as impressive to me as the ending cinematic for civ 2 (come to think of it, the cinematic for the space victory in civ 3 isn't, either). I like the ending "storyline" bit for those victories as well--"sir, we've won!" "Very well. Carry on." Much more satisfying to my mind than that whole new-age "I am one with everything" BS.

I love transcendence victory...I don't like conquesting, because it takes away from the political standpoint of the game, though I definately like annihalating a civ...The economic is fine, but it tends to be easy for me...My fav is ascent to transcendence! Now, all bow down to the supreme Homo Transcendi, AMENHOTEP7!

A year old, and still on the front page. Not the most visited part of this site, right? Well, I always go for Transcendence. But once the other factions got too annoying, so I wiped them out instead.

In the manual it stands that you get the most points from Transcendence, too, so I really have a "valid" point.
