If you would like to play multiplayer games online with an established group of players then all you need to do is add to_steaton@hotmail.co.uk to your MSN messenger.

We are a group of players that continue our games from one day to the next and use this messaging program to organise games and to continue them.

We are strating a game tonight probably large continents but still undecided.

Our method is that if you need to leave during a game generally we will save and continue later - using msn to arrange when we are all online. Games tend to have 3-8 players and can include some AI. Difficulty will be prince or monarch generally. We don't usually need to use a turn timer as this has not been an issue historically but with new players joining I am considering using one at least at first.

OK - we have some new players joining for tonight's game starting a 7pm UK time and lasting for 4 hours until 11pm at which point we will save and arrange a time to continue.

Quality game last night, well done to everyone who played! Very close game with all humans still in contention. I took the early lead but Guerra came in early with a sneak attack to my flank, I lost a good city and now we are very closely matched as we race into the gunpowder phase of the game.

We had to save because it was getting late. But so far we have had none of the problems you get when trying to play through gamespy everyone stayed for a good 5 hour session and I'm looking forward to continuing on Saturday.

p.s. If anyone else is interested in joining us there are other games to be played! And other players available that couldn't make last nights game.
