I think that feudalism is poorly represented in civilization 3.

Changes that i would to see in civ 4 perhaps... :D

Under feudalism your rule less with divine right and more with force and might.
For example if cancel a construction of a temple that people would like to see your going to have more unhappiness and corruption in that city. If cancel a construction of wonder that you have been building for the last century the city might even revolt. Same goes with despotism.

Also, if you lose a war, There a chance of a baronial revolt. :hmm:

But good thing under feudalism would be that the king (you) don't need to pay for maintenance for buildings...

 My ideas...

Communal Corruption,WW,Force Labor, and Reversed Unit Support,Maybe small discount on production of Pikes/MDI/Dutch Swiss Mercenary/Musket/French Musketeer/Trebs.

naziassbandit,

was divine right really an essential feature of feudalism, when did that type of thinking come about. .. i thought the later middle ages and not the dark ages period

baronial revolts which would just be like city revolts could work if the factors for this could be build into the game

Divine right was not essential feature! It was the loyalty of barons and dukes.

Baronial revolts would even worse than normal revolts. Becouse rebeling barons would have most advanced military units that your civilization has.

Normal revolt would consist of poorly armed peasants, workers. But in the modern and industrial times rebels have geurillas and angry mobs.

Yea I agree,

Think Magna Carta - its the Barons agreeing to be rulled by the and constraining his powers.

Fueding barons are silenced by the king... so they stop fighting... but if a handful of barons group together... pop, bye-bye king :)

Divine Rights were only for those below in serveritude... serfs aspiring to rule was ambitious and evil... so they are told it is the divine right of the ruling to rule... politics says there is no divine right when theres power to be seized :king:

No communial corruption for feudalism... but more better (or worse) corruption system. Feudal or Imperialistic corruption... When you are expanding your empire and encrising your influence corruption will stay low and barons and peasants are going to stay happy. When your power is low barons are likely to revolt and corruption can get rampant.
