(I don't have BTS yet so, as I understand it, I wouldn't be able to correctly install the later versions as they are dependent. If I'm wrong, let me know.)

I've recently returned to playing a lot of FFH2 and have always enjoyed it. I'm having an issue though - Abashi's twitch Roar... it's deafening. I mean that literally. It's at 5 times the volume of other sounds. He has the same twitch roar volume in one set of twitches but, for some reason, then another audio bite chimes in with a roar that blasts through the speakers like a physical punch in the ears.

IIRC, this was discussed a long time ago and somewhere, somehow, it was fixed. I just don't remember what it was that fixed that. It's been almost a year since I started back visiting the FFH forums... the memory isn't as good as it used to be. I did a search but, could not find the ansnwer.

Is there a fix involving a patch that I can apply or, if not, is there a way I can modify the code myself? I'm quite happy doing it myself even though my knowledge of python is somewhat limited. (I use it, sparingly, in some graphics work.)

Or, is it just "me" and I should get used to playing with earplugs whenever Abashi is around? :)

This is all I could find using the forum's search engine: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=265425 and it doesn't cover my specific issue with the volume of Abashi's twitch roar.

Well, I seem to have answered my own question:

I fiddled with the volume controls in the options panel. Normally, I have no problems at all. However, with the Abashi twitch sound, it seems to play at abnormally high volume if you have the ambient sound volume turned all the way up. But, just lowering it a notch alleviated that problem and the Abashi roar that was causing my ears to bleed has now disappeared and the normal volume has returned.

I suppose something about how that sound was assigned caused it to play at ridiculously high volume. But, it's fixed for me now. There's still a loop but I can deal with that.
