Finally playing Colonization !

I got my hands finally -phew- on a windows version. Boy is this game cool. AND, I'm hearing the music this time. But I'm not quite sure I prefer the windows graphics over the Dos, they seem to have less "flavour" to them, or is it just me ?

Yeha most people perffer the DOS version. But it's good you hear the music. I actually have a funny story about the music. I attended a performce but the Army's fife and drum corps this past summer. They played a few songs I knew and a couple I didnt. They started to play one song and Im like hey.. I know that...and then I realized it came from colonization, quite funny

Somebody actually has music in the windows version? All I have is sound. Please tell me how? And where did you get that version of the game because I don't think mine has music at all

I'd play the DOS version but I don't have old enough machine working right now

I bought a copy of Explorer at E-bay. The explorer is a duo combo of civI and Colonization in CD-ROM. You get two games for the price of one, albeit no instructions or manuals or anything else, just the cd. Mind you, my hard drive has a partition, so i'm playing Colonization with the Windows 98 II O.S. not with the XP. The graphics are different from the dos but, heck, I can hear the wonderful music now and the game doesn't freeze after 20 mins of playing anymore as it did in the XP. So hope you enjoy it once you find it, 'cause it's hard to get your paws on a copy of explorer.
