I know this was mentioned in another thread but I was so excited by this I wanted to selfishly celebrate it in a separate thread -- I'm so happy that you now see the breakdown as to WHY civs feel the way they do about you with taht simple point system. I never got into EUrope Universalis II b/c of its complexity, but what I LOVED about that game was the way it broke relations down like that. YES!!!

I hope this is carried over into everything else as well (i.e. why people are upset - though they did this in Civ 3, I just hope there are more reasons for peopel being happy or sad now than before)

You also see the calculated defense bonus on every tile now too. Not as great as the above, but still good. :P

Also, tiles are now made up of individual terrain components-like forests on tundra, or forests on hills etc. Again, not as whizz-bang as the diplomacy stuff, but every little bit gets me more excited!!

Yours,
Aussie_Lurker.

I can only hope that this information however useful doesn't automatically happen. I hope you have to send a spy/diplomat. Set up an embassy, something. This seems to powerful other wise.

"Sir. Our spy brings us vital information. We've been in peace with the English for a long time and we have close borders."

LOL. Good point.

I too am psyched about knowing exactly why a civ is pissed/happy with me. Make it seem less random.
