How do you get rid of the little Google box in the upper right hand corner? I dont see anything in View/Toolbars or in Tools.

right click on the navigation bar -> customize
then left click and drag the google box from the navigation bar into that "toolbox"

One slightly annoying thing Ive noticed is that the browser window isnt properly centered, its skewed a little to the right. Has anybody else noticed this, or is it just happening on my end?

Nope. Been using Firefox for a good long time, and never noticed that.

D'OH! Never mind, it wasnt FF at all, it was the monitor itself.

New Firefox question: I recently got Zonealarm Pro. ZAP works perfectly fine with IE, but Firefox is practically unusable when ZAPs running. Web pages will stall and not finished loading. If I have to choose between ZAP and FF, I pick ZAP, right now Im on IE. Are there maybe some settings that I could change either in ZAP, FF or both to make them work together?

I downloaded the free ZA thing a while back, and it made FF unsusable, so I got rid of ZA. I aam, howere, far from being computer l337.

You know, now Im finding that IE isnt all too stable with ZAP running either, just slightly better than FF. I briefly ran FF with the free ZA and dont recall having this problem. Never had any problem at all with IE and the free ZA, and those ran together for months. Its weird when a free version is better than the paid version.

Thats odd, I have used zone alarm for years with no stuttering or crash problems with any programs and I have used FireFox since 1.0 came out and had no problems. It might be the added features of ZA Pro that are causing problems, I have always used the free ZA.

Im thinking that possibly it has something to do with too many firewalls running at once. Ive got Norton Internet Security, the Windows firewall and now ZoneAlarm Pro. I disabled the NIS and Im running only ZAP and the Windows firewall, lets see if theres any change.

Yep, its either or. Both browsers work fine as long as either ZAP or NIS is disabled.

You should really only need one firewall running at once. More than one could cause conflicts. One you really should disable is the Windows Firewall. It really isn't that great. Either one of the other two should be fine.

Dump NIS and the Windows Firewall.

Trust me, you only need one firewall. All you're doing is slowing down your computer running three firewalls at a time. Let alone the program conflicts...

Oh ok, that was going to be my next question, which firewall should I leave active. I disabled the Windows Firewall.

New question: My Bookmarks inexplicably dissapeared, along with the useful links that came with FF. All thats there now is 'Bookmark toolbar' and its empty. I have no idea why this happened, maybe I did it accidentally:confused: If this were to happen again, is it possible to restore the Bookmarks that came with FF somehow?
