So I've got a new laptop and the game runs beautifully. There IS difference between low and high graphic quality!
However in about 1700AD I tried to zoom in a city and surprisingly found it only showed the working squares (which tiles were worked, etc), but none of the other information like science/gold sliders, build queues, etc. Then I zoomed it out and in a couple of times and it crashed.
Sorry didn't capture a screenshot. Just check if others also had this problem.
It's a thinkpad 42p with 2G memory.
