First time to beat standard deity,I 'd like to share. :)

As Babylon, standard speed/map, Pangaea, for science victory.

I normally play in Immortal level ,but every time I tried deity I feel struggle by AI tech progression that far beyond me. I have once beat deity in 4 players map for domination with mongolian by rushing genghis. but It's not like 8 players right?

This time I was lucky by the map because I'm in the west north conner alone, separate by long mountain from my only one neighbour-the celts. I decided to go for wide empire.
I get the Edinburg when I got artilleri. Six of the rest is in the open area of east part of the map.

Netherland is my competitor they completed apollo program before me about 15 turns. but I manage to launch the spaceship when they completed 4 parts of the spaceship

I go for liberty, A lot of room for expanding and my first 6 cities was generate GS.

My cap has built just two world wonders-the porcelain and the Hubble telescope
PS I miss the ironwork Plus my oxford is very late game finish but I use a free tech for Nanotechnology

Seeing as you were Babylon, I would definitely have moved cap to the mountain. Sure, that Observatory only stacks additively with NC, but still. This is Babylon

Yeah you said it right.
But most of the city I found then make the observatory and miss the wheat for the starting point may make it though in the early game.
