Hi I just recently downloaded the mod and installed it.
(BtS patch 3.19, FfH v0.41)
I did this on my PC (Vista) and on a friend's PC (XP)
Yesterday we tried several times to try a Direct IP game, only to end up frustrated by Out-of-sync errors.
I did my share of research into the problem and noticed that this is caused by difference in files (which allowed me to notice that I had installed the Media Pack for FfH II, while my friend had not).
(As I wait for my shift to end and go to his house to DL the media pack,) A question pops up my mind, which I hope one of you can answer:
1. I found fixes here and there in the forums, but I have no idea which one to download or even if it will be required to DL one of them. Which one is the 'best'/'latest'?
2. The first issue I can point out is the difference in the installation of the Media Pack. I've read events can also affect OoS errors. Do I still have to disable events?
3. Does this OoS thing only happen in Direct IP games? (We didn't have the patience to try an Internet Game after 3 hours of failed attempts.)
4. Should we both download the "M" patch, the Media Pack, the fix you mention, then install everything and then try again?
