Does anyone know how to save flash movies, so you can view them offline? because i'm tired of going online just to view these movies?

any ideas? thanks

What I do is I create a webpage with a hyperlink to the flash movie. I then right-click it and "save-as". I'm sure there must be an easier way though :hmm:

The only way to download an online Flash movie onto your harddrive is if the maker puts it in a specific winzip file or something where you can download the actual file. It's rather unfortunate because my harddrive was reformatted a few months back because of a very deadly virus, and now the flash movies I made only exist at the Geocities site.

Or if a direct link to the .swf file itself is provided, then you can do what Quentin said. Right-click and select save-as.

Very rarely will there be a direct link to a .swf file. This is because in doing so, everything on the stage is shown, not just what is viewing rectangle. It's kind of hard to explain, but the best analogy would be watching a play without the back curtain so that the audience can see everything going on the backstage as well.

I looked through the source file and found the 'embed src' is that the one? because there are other ones that look very similar.
