Font problems withi Vista

I've been playing BTS for a long time using a PC with Windows XP Home and just recently upgraded my PC to Windows Vista Premium.

But now I'm seeing differences in the font used, particularly for the numbers such as in the screenshot attached to this post. The numbers aren't all the same height, which leads me to believe that they are not Sylfaen font but some other font?

Has anyone else experienced this problem and/or know of a way to get the font to appear like it used to for me?

I have the same problem, just installed Vista Ultimate 64bit and my fonts are exactly the same. It's driving me nuts!

Right, good to know that it isn't just me then. I'm on 64-bit Vista but Home Premium as opposed to Ultimate.

So is there any way to fix this issue?

So far I'm coming up dry finding a solution.

I'll keep searching and see if I can find anything :|

The solution that worked for me was to change the value from 0 to 1 in the CivilizationIV.ini file of the following:

; Use managed interface textures (may be safer but shouldn't be needed, uses more memory)
GUIManagedTextures = 0

Since then, I've had no more dodgy font issues with Vista.
