Foolish Question re: Map Editor

I'm sure this has been noted before, but humor me.

Is there a zoom feature hiding somewhere in the map editor? How would one go about drawing maps when you can only work in about a 30x20 tile area?

I really wish I knew, and I do think the same thing, its impossible to make a good map without zooming out, or an overview of the whole map...its ridiculous its not in there to begin with...or more easily found if its in there...

I agree, yet I have not been able to find it. Very disappointing. I was hoping to have a least a small map insert as in the game to help design. I hope firaxis pays attention to the game community and sends out some patches to fix these and other concerns.

i have heard through the grapevine.......that it is coming soon...end of the month methinks
