Forbidden palace????

Hello everyone, Im new to this forum although I´m played some civ (mostly civ1).

I got this Civ3 play the world and now my problem is I cant build the Forbidden palace. After some reading it tells you must have 8 cities on a standard map, and then I recall I choosed a Huge map! But why is it made you cant build the FP on those maps?
And is there anyway to cheat around it, cause in my opinion the FP is one of the most importants structures. Without it you are quite much limited to build up an empire no larger than maximum 10 squares away from your capital, whitch is soooo boring.

So, anyone with tips or infos I´ll be glad.

you can build FP on a huge map, but you need more cities. its just a way to stop people from building it ASAP and then having an empire that is very large due to map size that has immpossible corruption

Okay, thats good to hear. Do you know how many cities I need? Currently I have 10 or 11 cities I think, and have found spots for additionaly 3 or 4 more cities.

You need 1/2 the optimal city number as it is set in the editor for that map size.

OCN for huge maps is 36. YOu can find out by going to the editor an selecting custom rules.

Then go to Rules and edit rules. Now you can find many of the answers. In this one select world Size tab and then the map size.

I figured it larger maps would require more cities. I usually play large maps myself.

oh oh... actually, i just insanely build so many cities at first and wonders... are only minor improvements in my own civ~ XD (but it sucks T.T)
