Foreign Advisor

When I play games with more than 7 civs, I cant get the foreign advisor screen to show me the rest of the civs. I just shows myself, plus 7 over circles for the civs. even after wiping a civ out, the missing civ doesnt take the removed civ's spot in the circle.
anyone know how I can see all the civs? Its a pain having to leave
a unit near the missing civs territory just to make contact with them.

There are a couple of ways.

First, in the foreign advisor screen, you can change which rival civilizations are shown--assuming there are more than seven. Pressing SHIFT + RIGHT CLICK will open a pop-up with the names of all the civilizations not shown. This was covered somewhere in the Instruction manual.

Another choice is to use the trade advisor screen and double-click on the civilization name, whether you can trade with them or not.

There are buttons along the right edge of your civ info window (lower right box on the main screen:
D - Diplomacy, where you can contact all other civs
E - Espionage
P - Palace
H - histograph
