I am enjoying the game ... don't really have to tell you guyz that ... however I'd like to put something in the mull ...

It concerns the recent image that we received from TNT ...

Now don't get me wrong ... I found it humourous and even had an amateur pyschological analysis of the imagery :D ... and yes it was fun ... BUT

The but is that we should not have contact with any team until we meet ingame ... it is in the rules ...

So I have set up a poll to vote on should we (through the Captain) ask the administrators just to remind in a friendly manner that all teams cease the behind the game interaction until contact is made ... and save up all this fun stuff until we can officially interact ...

I for one eagerly look forward to sending 'team sanctioned' stuff right back at 'em ...

Abstain- stop creating an issue (which seems like it should be no considering i don't want to do anything about it) yes it should be enforcedl but this isn't the time or place to inforce it. I hardly think the outcome of the game would be any different if they didn't send us the picture, unless there's a message hidden in morse code in the brick pattern.

Not sure I understand what time or place will be the correct opportunity to discuss this ... Just thought the best way to discuss this new development was to open a confidential poll.

My point is I'd prefer they cease this activity or what is the point of having the no contact rule ... even if it is harmless non-coded (well put btw  ) communication ...

Out of fairness and sharing, each joke we receive will have to be displayed on the thread because not all citizens have access to the save information ...

Also I do know it is not a big important issue ... but what else can a Foreign Minister do here until we officially meeting another team ... apart from lobbying the formation of a Navy ...

I feel like a meat inspector at a vegitarian's picnic :p

I voted Yes. Here's my thinking: If they send stuff to us, I'm not going to get upset. But I think they are setting a dangerous climate of familiarity. I don't want our team to be sending things around like that, as harmless as it may seem. It would be very easy to let a careless little tidbit slip, and playing against these highly skilled and opportunistic teams, I don't want to risk it. That's why I'm sounding so stodgy :)

In reality, as my girlfriend will attest, I'm much more stodgy!

Therefore, let them email at their own risk. We will not be distracted from our philosophical quest to glean as much knowledge and wisdom from the world around us as we can.

Long Live Greece!

I second this. Quit creating a mole hill issue.

Don't forget that the Admins can see what team TNT sent us, so they will know what we are talking about. Perhaps our Team Captain could PM RM about this to see what is their opinion on it.

I just want to bring this up ... as FM it is related ... I have noticed in the last save sent thread ...

Daghdha ... a citizen of KISS has just thanked the Celts for their motto of the Greek president ...

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=3027354&postcount=105

This is becoming constant ... this familiarity horseplay (hopefully without horses) between teams ... and now a possible joke at our exprense ... I feel something should be done ... and the poll shows that the majority don't care either way and 2 want action and one does not ... so i am of the opinion that the admins should enforce the rule ...

:cringe: Now quickly duck to dodge the deluge of raw fruit, old fish, cow manure and elephant pats as they are hurled at me :p

I think it is now in your hands what course to follow, o wise minister. If people don't like your actions, they can always vote for someone else next term ;)

I, for one, think you should act as you see fit. You have asked our opinions, and they are just that: opinions. You are the one who must choose to act (or abstain).

ps - for what it's worth, daghdha's comment doensn't worry me so much as TNT's leaflet campaign. It's good thing we can't read yet!

pps - My latin's quite rusty, anyone know what Vae Victus means, and the historical context?

The link to an explination is in my sig.

It basically means "Woe to the Conquered" or "Woe to the Vanquished"

It's is Celtic... but still remarkably cool!

I see ... personal and not team directed ... that's cool

I'm ridging up like a pit bull with only a pillow to sink my teeth into ... consider a bucket of the old aqua, icey cold, thrown over me ... slinks back into kennel ;)
