Former and colony pod graphics

The_Reckoning, some feedback:

Proportions: Which dimensions of the base chassis (treads+"platform") do we want? I don't know how you came up with the recent proportions of the treads but they are seemingly perfect 5:4 (length:width)... and something tells me that this ratio is exactly what we are looking for. For reference, the current former is close to 1:1 (20:19) and the colony pod is close to 2:1 (20:11).

The treads could each be made 10-20% wider, adding a slightly stonger impression of stability and bulkiness (reducing the area/space between the treads).

Chassis structure: The current suspended platform looks unstable a fragile. Perhaps extend the platform to connect directly with the treads. Perhaps cutting a simple shape on the "block" platform. An example of the idea (red line):

That's great, I forgot to measure exactly for the correct ratio, so my guessing is pretty good, I guess. I'll make the changes you suggested now.

Thanks, The_Reckoning! A nice and simple "treads module". Now we just need modules to put onto it (and, of course, clean up the model to reduce the poly-count and have a .dds texture to go with it).

Edit: Subsequent tweaking of the treads module may be required, once we see how it looks combined into a whole unit.
