Hey fanatics,
This is my first attempt at a scenario. It's a fairly straightforward map...four landmasses, solely inhabited by one civ, and separated by an expanse of ocean. Each landmass is designed and laid out for 9 cities, including the capital, with maximum city potential for each one. All four landmasses posess every food, luxury, and strategic resource.
The 8 goody huts on each landmass are placed where I envisioned ideal city locations (maximizing space, resources, etc.), and the settler is placed where I intended the capital to go, for sort of a "spoked" effect.
Who is this map for? People like me...ridiculousy obsessed with well organized and laid out cities. I know there are many like this one out there, so its nothing special. But if you want a simple map that will allow some decent naval/amphibious battles then you should have a good time with it.
One small note...I'm not an expert at modding. The only way I can get the scenario to run the way I intended is to run it as a "custom scenario," and changing the player slots to "closed" so that there are only 4 teams(including the player). If you dont do this, there will be 3 other civs placed randomly on the map(its a standard map, so by default it places 8 civs). Its not a huge inconvenience, and I'm sure its easy to fix for someone better at modding than myself. Other than that, there arent any problems with it. Enjoy!
