Foist off this is not talking about priated software. I am not asking where to get anything of the sort. Now to the question...

I have run across a few sites offering game software for free downloads. It is claimed that the software is basically older games that the creaters no long sell and therefore are allowing the to be distributed for free via the internet.

I am wondering if Civ 1 has been allowed to do this. I have not seen anywhere saying it has, but it fits the desription of the products distributed. Mostly gaves that have sequals or like games that the creator is giving out to push the new product.

If anyone has read or heard anything about this plesae say. i would like to get a copy of Civ 1 (for old times sake) and am wondering if this is an "ok" way to get it.

just kidding, i know that the abbandonware is any software, game, etc. that has more than 10 or 15 years, as civ I i know that many of the pages where u find it are basically legal, while other pages not.
for what i know, the game isnt allowed to be downloaded legally, until the company says the opposite
i suggest u to see in any of these pages that has a disclaimer to see if the games contained are legal, or not.
if i were u, i dont ask, just take (same as civ):tank: but i know that is incorrect to say or help about piracy in this forums, so forget this last line...
