Freezes at initializing

Hello!
I have a slight problem with this MOD. I am running ROM 2.81 on CIV4 BTS 3.19.
I have so far installed no modmods.
Ok, so I get in to the costume game menu (in ROM) and i try to start a game (gigatic, snail). And then the loading screen comes up and it freezes at initializing. I tried waiting for like 5 minutes and nothing happens.
I think my hardware is not a problem since i am running the game on my laptop with 2.64 Gh dual core processor, 4GB of RAM and a 512 MB graphics card. I can run GTA IV no problem (but i think GTA is only a graphical burden, well anyways).
So is there a solution to this?

Wait longer than 5 minutes. Depending on what mapscript you chose to use, generating gigantic maps can take very long time. It does seem like the game has frozen but in fact it's just making the map and will eventually "wake up" when the map is ready to play.

If you don't use AND, then patience is what you really need Especially on gigantic map
