Good GOD,

Where is my English replacement poster? After paying full price, pre-order for the special edition; let alone all the promises to mail them out. Where is it?

Is there any official word??

I will remember Take Two and company for screwing me over if I do not at least hear some feedback from the company. This is just bull. They must think repeat customers are taken for granted and we have no memory.

If I treated my customer this way, no word, just a BS "We will mail you one, please do not return it".....I would be out of business.

Hmmm. I ordered my copy from CD-WOW! .nl expecting to get the Dutch version but was sent the English version instead. Only trouble was I got a SPANISH tech tree with my English manual

I rang CD-WOW to tell them of the problem and they sent me another copy within a couple of days. Problem solved. I even got a 5 EURO discount coupon for my next purchase! If a store sells you faulty goods, they are ultimately responsible, so take it back. It is up to that store to get it sorted with their suppliers not you....

I wish I could have.

In the USA you cannot return open software. Not even if they package it wrong. They say it is the original manufacture fault and you must take it up with them, even though they are the retailer -they take no responsibility.

If I could return it, I would have the day one I got it. But you are lucky in parts of the EU and UK, you can return a defective or just bad game.

Here in the USA you cannot return any software. I guess they think we all copied it for piracy. It is a real pisser. Only the USA /CA got the messed up French Tech Poster from their website.

Can't a Moderater here on this board ask 2K when we can expect them to mail out? I tired to cantact someone to no avail.

I guess I will have to go to the store and 'switch' one out of a box. Making a 'thief' out of me...this really is bad press for 2K and Firaxis -when they are the thief.

They claim to replace them, when? The Second Coming? There is no word; they have been waitng thousands of years for that event...

meh I'm Canadian! This is one problem I don't have to worry about.

I did have mislabeled disks though. Other then that my Civ 4 game is fine. Didn't even get the "can't initailize render" error and I have a Radeon card.

Well, it only took than about two months, but yesterday I went to my mailbox and found a odd-sized stiff envelope. I thought "What the heck?" then looked at the return address: Take 2 Software... sure enough. it was my English Tech Tree Poster.

Got mine yesterday. I ordered it right after they offered the replacements. Slow to replace them, but I do commend their effort to correct their mistake as painlessly as possible.

I had the special edition imported into the UK and have recieved a french tech tree poster.

I requested a replacement months ago, though i have recieved nothing and doubt i will!

Has this happened to anyone else outside the US? If so what did you do about it?

If the poster in question is the same as the English one I got, then I strongly suggest that you check it for errors by comparing it with the in-game tree. Mine has two techs missing, two duplicated, and "Divine Right" is given in Dutch, as are its 'allowed' details. Fortunately, it isn't hard to translate Islam or Spiraalminaret. Oh, and I presume that the costs shown for each tech are applicable to the easiest level: those for Noble are higher by up to +182%, variably. Doubtless some of these are due to the patch.
The other side of the poster does, however, seem to be correct.
