Well I haven't seen any threads dealing with this issue, so I thought I'd plead for help. I have the Win version of MOO2, and am running it on XP. Everything is fine, just like I remember it, except for one thing: I can't get to ship design!!! EVERYthing else is running perfect, but in the colony's build screen, the DESIGN button is dark, and no amount of selecting ships or anything else seems to activate it. 
On a seemingly related issue, whenever I build one of the default ships, it goes into the build queue with a number next to it. This number seems to be counting the number of ships of this model I've built - or even attempted to build - so far. This on its own is not a problem at all, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's related to the really big problem I detailed above.
I've tried the 1.31 patch, no help, and IIRC the 1.4 patches are DOS version only. Any other help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance, fellow MOO fans!
