it doesn't help that cultural victory is the most start location dependent victory condition, and to be safe you need to pick leaders or you're pretty much guaranteed that you'll start next to alex or gandhi is going to complete the oracle or such.

if civ stored advanced settings it'd be a big improvement.

I had a 1600 AD (t231) entry that was excluded because i only saved start and end
(apparently you need 4 saves)

Tried to a few times but couldnt repeat it, I had such a sick start that time. In the end I had to settle for turn 245 victory

Get your autosaves setup right and you'll be fine. You can submit autosaves (including the start, AFAIK).

yeah I know, but I didnt have it. Also when i played in civ 4 you only needed start and end save so I thought it was the same until i got my first 2 games excluded

Anyway, admins do a great job serving the community. No grudge held whatsoever

Btw, do you know how much extra computer power it takes to autosave every turn? does it impact game performance or is it only very minor?

I didn't noticed much impact except when you go heavy (big map and marathon)
