There's gonna have to be a galaxy map, so here it is, courtesy of Wookieepedia:

BTW, the map isn't at the normal orientation, so if you want it at the 'normal' orientation, then rotate the picture 90 degrees clockwise.

Hope this helps.

it looks pretty good, I guess...

the only thing is that for instance, Onderon is supposed to be pretty near Mandalore... :/ it's a fact that Onderon lies in the Outer Rim, which was THE reason that the Jedi Council didn't interact and sent to battle - simply because the 'theat' were so far away... It kinda doomed them all, didn't it?

so I wouldn't honestly believe in this chart... Maybe somebody can take an in-game screenshot of the Galactic Overview in the various games? I've got SWBF1 and EAW and KOTOR1 and ", so how about taking some pictures of how the authors thought the universe looked like, and kinda mix them up in what would be the most trustworthy map? :)

perhaps this one is better?

hm...

what really annoys me is that I've got the knowledge from Kotor1 and 2, which is pretty much going into the Mandalorian Wars alot :P

I'm not saying you're a liar at all, but it's just odd that I've been confirmed multiple times on wookiepedia about Onderon's location in the Outer Rim... :/

anyways - now we've somewhat got a clear view on the planets :P

Sounds like some of the game makers got their facts wrong... annoyiny, that. But now we have two maps, so the map should be accurate.

at home i have the oficial star wars fact files and it sayes that onderon is in the inner rim so no doubt it is in the inner rim :) (the fact files are a product by lucas art and i dont thnik they are wrong :P)

All Star Wars games are made by Lucas Arts, and the charts in there don't match completely... ;)

But this makes me think of one thing: why didn't the Jedi Council go to war against the Mandalorians? Their reason was that they had to wait till it was the 'right time' but also because it was in the Outer Rim... :/

thats cus they ****ed up that game.
in all the rest of the star wars world onderon shows up as an inner rim planet.
the reason why they didnt want to fight the war is cus they tought it wasnt the right thing to do.

one quick question. how exactly is this game gonna work mapwise?? we gonna be able to travel to diff planets? we just pick one planet the civ we want from that planet? forgive me if i missed something or if this is a stupid common sense question that im just not getting because its late but could somebody please answer this for me, im a lil confuggled here.

sincerely,
civ newbie trying to get acquinted with and to distribute to the community

what if you dont want "movie-like battles" and want to create your own new star wars epic. maybe ewoks join the sith and theres evil little teddy bears everywhere.

"ahhhhhhhh, runnnn, theyre cute and cuddly but theyve come to eat you!!!!!!!!!!!"

well whats the fun in that??? i rather like the idea of evil lil ewoks roamin the woods, i mean who wouldnt??!!!!??

I've suggested that, but apparently CivManSam likes to have specific "relations" and such premade... :/

I can say that those relations will not exist in the final "custom" version, but will exist in scenarios

well whats the fun in that??? i rather like the idea of evil lil ewoks roamin the woods, i mean who wouldnt??!!!!??

That would be awesome! I keep thinking of Lt Kettch: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kettch

I'd rather suggest using Scenarios on the different planets instead, so we have real movie-like battles
I agree with this approach also

Ah, the mythical Lt Kettch, greatest Ewok ever.

Liked to tease the Ewok fans with that technical commentary link ever since I found it.
