Taking a look at the screenshots in the "In the Thick of it" threads may give you a good idea.:)

It's a strategy game set in space, of course. You are the leader of the human race just after the invention of "Hyperspace," which allows ships to go to distant stars relatively quickly. Eventually, you encounter other races that inhabit the universe. The object of the game is either to destroy all other races, transcend life as physical matter (basically, a scientific victory), dominate 66% of the galaxy, or form an alliance with every civ (a diplomatic victory).

I bought it 8 months ago.....and i love it. I have been playing it day and night for the last 5 month.

What i like about it that if make a mistake it could easily be 20-30 (or more) turns before you are punished. So you have to try and look ahead (and make strategic descisions  ).

The community around the game is one of the best i have ever seen and a new expansion pack is on its way (including a scenario/map editor). Also i gotta say the tech-support you get thru their forum is better than any support i have seen so far (they have developers writing on the forums)

I sent stardock 2 emails requiring help, and they did not respond. I say the tech support stinks!

Ok. That is VERY unusual from where I sit. I would advise you to go to Galciv.com, register for the site (similar stuff to getting registered at CivFanatics), and then open a thread in the forum describing your problem. Cari, who is the main programmer that is working tech support and bug fixes, has a big presence on the board, and will be more than happy to look into your problem. You may also want to put your request/issue in the bugs thread.

Have you upgraded to the 1.13 version?

Hope that helps.

Thank you, I'll try that later.:)

I have heard others making the same complaint. I think the majority of the support is thru the boards, so those of us who use the boards frequently might have another experience than those who try to get help thru mailing stardock.

I hope somebody can help you solve your problem

I bought the game when it first came out.

I like it but haven't played it in a long time now. C3C and CMBB are taking up my time these days.
