Hey folks. 
Along with this forum and the official forums over at the GalCiv2 website, I just thought I would let you know of a new forums for GalCiv2 : www.galciv2guide.com. It has just started, so there's still work to be done. But as of know there's a great AAR called Christmas Times, which is also a good guide for those just starting with GalCiv2. There is a growing selection of mods and a (work still in progress) section detailing the various ship components available.
And of course, there is the forum. There are some knowlegeable folks lurking there along with the familiar
newbies. Feel free to register and post a ton of questions (like me) or answers (not like me)!
