Game "crash" send mee to desktop

I play with mods, but lately i dont get the regular message that "civ stop working" and i dont get the crash dump file. So what is crashing my game when it just suddenly send me to desktop without a crash message and dump file? I got windows 8. but it seems like it crash faster when i choose that even when that is recommended to play with, so i play with directX 10-11. and when im 200 turns in the game it happens every 5 turns on that to. is it something wrong with my pc?
