My computer isn't the newest, top-of-the-line computer out there, but it fits in the Civ IV requirements quite nicely. In Warlordss, I had an issue were Victory movies were jumpy and laggy, and often skipping 50-100 frames. I bought Beyond the Sword today, and I noticed a few differences upon starting the game:

1) The Introduction and Victory movies only skip 5-10 frames instead of 50-100.

2) Wonder movies(which worked flawlessly in Warlords) now crash the game.

So, downloaded the latest patch, and instead of crashing the game, Wonder Movies only skip 50-100 frames now. I lowered the Graphics to Medium and Low, but this made the game crash again.

Any idea what has caused this drastic problem with Wonder Movies? I know I can disable them but I liked watching them be built...

P.S. Is these a search function on these forms? I can't find it.

P.P.S. What does ti mean if these is a spy symbol by a rival civ's name(were the religion, open borders, ect symbols go), is that mean I am ahead of my opponent is Espionage, or they are ahead of me?

Many people have this problem, and there's already several threads about it. There's nothing to do at the moment, but to turn of movies in your graphical settings. We'll have to wait for a patch, and weep in the meantime :)

The search function is marked with a red circle

Did you really need such a big screenshot to make your point. And the answer is simple enough to provide.

The spy symbol next to an opponent means certain missions may be taken. The more spy points you obtain over time lead to more difficult missions. This is explained in the manual and civlopedia. Take it with you to the bathroom and read while you have nothing else to do. :D
