Game crashes when creating police officers

Any time I try to make a specialist a police officer the game crashes. I click through Entertainer -> Tax Collector -> Scientist ... then, if I click on the Scientist the game closes.

Anyone ever had this problem? Anyone know a fix?

More info please. What version do you have? Do you have the latest patch? If everything's up to snuff I'd say you're missing a file or it got corrupted...

Are you using a moodbadges mod?

Most likely cause of this is that you have some modified artwork for citizens (like the moodbadges that Rohili mentions), and they don't contain artwork for policemen.

Yeah I am using a moodbadges mod. I looked around and found people with the same problem, and they pointed to files which contain police/civil engineers (i.e. supposed to work in Conquests) but they still didn't have police/civil engineers. So I ended up editing it myself and adding the missing heads, cuz I wanted to keep the moodbadges I have. All is well now.
