Game gets minimized

I have all the necessary specs to play civ 4. Despit this I had numerous vid and crash problems till the latest patch before christmas. After this patch I played without problems.

I took a few months off and started playing again. The first night was fine. The last couple nights I play for a few minutes and the game clicks off and gets minimized down to my tool bar. I have to click on there to get it back up. After a few minutes this happens again. Obviously not an ideal way to play the game.

Has anyone experienced this phenomenon or have any ideas what could so suddenly have happened??

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

* I'd say some other application (ICQ, something) tried to attract your attention. Close all running applications.

* Try running the game in windowed mode, this way you could perhaps easier spot the reason.

* Your cat pushed your windows key accidentally...
