Game is taking 30 minutes to load

It is taking upwards of THIRTY MINUTES to load my game and when it loads it is boarder line unplayable. I've run virus scans, adware scans, spyware scans, uninstalled the game, reinstalled the game, tried it on different partitions, defragged my harddrive - 3 times, cleared cache's and temp files, and updated all drivers.


So what else can I do? Aside from wallow in a pit of anger at the obviously blind developers for releasing such a bug-ridden game.


Specs: 3ghz p4 HT, 1 gig 3200 ram, 128mb 6600GT.

That's what a lot of people are asking....

Make sure to email Take2/firaxis tech support and let them know the problems - they are currently experiencing "very high tech support volumes" and I think we should keep it that way until a proper patch that fixes all the problems is released....

I have however noticed that a lot of people on the forums here are coming up with some great suggestions for improving performance or reducing crashes etc, so I hope someone can help you here (since Take2 will take forever to get back to you).
