Game Pop-Ups Missing, Believed on Strike

I was in the middle of a very successful BtS multiplayer, having just conquered the Persians as the Dutch, when suddenly I longer began to get the popups in the game that tell you important things like what to research next, what to build in a city, etc. I could still engage in diplomacy, but in order to shuffle between units I needed to use the backslash and enter keys to move back and forth between units that required orders. When the time came for my turn to end, I had to click directly on the red button; the enter key no longer worked for that purpose.

I don’t really know what to do about this, and I’m hoping that if I play the game again everything will be in its proper order. It might be related to my recent keyboard change, but I don’t see how that would affect the gameplay.

So, hopefully someone has an answer for me. Everyone needs a break now and then, but my cities need to be churning out Modern Armor as fast as possible.

There are options on the option menu for popups to be off or on and for automatically moving to the next unit after issuing orders. Perhaps you inadvertently turned them both off. Although I am not sure, I think there may be one there for the return key as well. Otherwise, I would suspect your new keyboard. Perhaps it needs a driver installed?
