Hello Civ 7 Fans,

I uninstalled and reinstalled Civ 7 when I could not get the game to load correctly and I still get this load page with Start Game which I can't. I have uninstalled all mods to the game and I still have problems. I have checked my resolution which is 2400 x 1600 same as before. Again no mods are added to installed game and I do see the current install includes the 1.2.1 patch.

Any help to solve this bug would be great.

Thanks

How do you verify games files using Steam?

Uninstalled game and now reinstalling game again. I uninstalled the CivMod program so it's off my laptop.

Once game is installed I will go through the troubleshoot list as mentioned above.

Thanks

How do you verify games files using Steam?
Right click on the game in Steam, choose "properties". Go to "installed files" and choose "verify integrity of game files". :)

I did a variety of the troubleshooting above and the game would still not load up. Went through the process again of changing settings around etc. I guess 10th time is the charm....Frederick loaded up and the normal screen popped up and was able to start game.

Thanks to all for the help.

I've had the exact same problem. It's happened twice now. After I installed the patch, it happened the first time I attempted to play the new game I created (Pangaea map). I figured it was because I left in a couple of mods, so I took them out and then the game loaded okay. However, after a couple more play sessions, it happened again. The game worked when I relaunched, so I actually put the mods back, and the game continued to work normally. For me, this seems to be an intermittent problem unrelated to mods.

I just restarted Steam. I'll try verifying the game files if it happens again.
