GEM 1.8 Archer range attack lock up

Using the latest GEM 1.8 beta, CIV UP is version 48 - auto updated today

First game was as japan on an inland sea map, epic speed large size. CIV UP was version 46. My first policy pick was honor and then took the two free defenders which were archers. A few turns after creation they found a barb poacher archer. I click for range attack and when I select the target the game locks up. Cntrl-Alt-delete to task manager to stop Civ.

I reload and do the samething and it locks up. I reload and fire with the other archer and it works. A few turns later both archers fire at a barb camp and it freezes. During the reloading the game auto updates CIV UP to version 48.

I then restart Civ, start a new game - inland sea, epic, large Japan. Take honor, next choice two free defenders - get archers. Find a barb camp, go to fire, select target and the red arrow goes halfway and freezes like before.

I cleared cache and modinfo file, reload and get the same thing.

I can not attach the save game as it is larger than 2 MB.

P.S. This is the greatest Mod ever.

It did not reproduce with my game (GEM 1.8, CIV UP 48).
I have Military Traditons policy and my two free archers frequently attacking barbs (camps, poachers, warriors etc)

Are you playing on DirectX9 or 10/11? Do you experience the same problem with the unmodded game as well? Some people were experiencing the same problem since the November patch was released. Please refer to this thread:

This issue has to do with the standard CiV game, nothing to do with the mod.
