Global warming

What can be done about global warming? Either to prevent it or to reverse it?

Win the space race and ditch that planet, its going to the dogs anyhow
or stop using nukes

To prevent it don't use nukes. That's all. Once it starts, nothing can be done to reverse it.

Is it possible to turn off global warming? It's just plain annoying. And it happens even if there hasn't been a nuke in the game.

what does global warming do in the game? cause your millitary units skin cancer?

Drop 20 nukes on your friends and find out usally takes place a few turns after that

It turns your land into desert, usally destorying all improvements but road on it. Its not a good thing

In other words: No way to turn it off? It should have been left out with the other "unfun" elements of civ3.

No. 4 nukes on a standart map bring global warming.

Also i wonder did anybody ever transformed a world into a desert ?

would planting forests help?

I haven't dealt with it yet only having played 2 games into the modern era

you can't plant forests in civ 4

I actually like global warming. I enjoy the idea of the world turning into a barren wasteland. Im even going to try and make a mod were the oceans can boil of and turn into desert eventually turn your god forsaken planet into a big desert. But that is only because i like playing my games through to the end of the world. I once played a civ 3 game up to the year 4362!
